Learning is a Life-Long Adventure!
My Portfolio

 Welcome,
My name is Sheilla Norton. I am a life-long learner who believes in the power of education. My goal is to become an innovative, enthusiastic teacher and technology leader in Reading Make Way for Ducklings to Mrs. St. Sauver's Kindergarten Class.the K-8 setting who continually looks for challenges and new learning opportunities. I wish to instill in my students a passion for learning which is a philosophy I hold dear.

I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of MN and am student teaching this fall 2008 to complete my elementary education licensure with an endorsement in middle school math and science from St. Cloud State University. My goal for the future is to become a technology leader and earn a Masters in Information Technology. I have also completed a graduate certificate in Instructional Technology from St. Cloud State.

My philosophy of teaching incorporates integrative, authentic learning and assessment that centers around students. I believe that the team of teachers, administrators, community, parents, and the student are necessary for effective education and development of our future community. I also believe that technology integration, higher-ordered thinking, and multicultural perspective, is essential for students to function in a future global society.

My 10 year goals include teaching in the upper intermediate to middle school level, and moving into or in conjunction with a technology leadership position.
